The idea of making this place a ‘home’ was imbued in the concept, and manifests in various spaces of the project which each hold a distinct function similar to a residential program. The design of the 16,000 SF headquarters was informed by discussions related to line of sight, sharing of work information in digital format and in real time, transparency within, support for both focused work and collaboration, spaces for large group (all-hands) gatherings, and a love of food and drink to bring everyone together. office identity is reinforced through use of elements such as the bathroom Stainless mirrors which were hand-sanded to give an effect of atmospheric fog to reference the unique locale of the San Francisco office. raw structural steel elements and purposely feathered wood edges remind the team of the company’s ethos that their work is never done.
